Digitizing sales is the topic of a National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors program to assist distributors in developing social selling practices.
NAW Institute for Distribution Education is partnering with Texas A&M University in a research consortium.
The research seeks to answer what portions of the sales process should be digitized, what stays with sales force and what is the value added by digitized sales. The consortium will create an assessment tool for strategy development.
Participants will receive tools for the study and assessment methodologies and may send five team members to two research summits in autumn 2020 and 2021. Company membership is $25,000.
The consortium will begin October 10, 2019, with a meeting at Texas A&M. Companies also will have individual meetings with Texas A&M researchers for developing the firm’s digital strategy.
