Cardinal Fastener Inc. is marking its 30th anniversary. The manufacturer had been the Cardinal Threading division before becoming a separate company in 1983.
Cardinal was acquired by Germany’s Würth Group in 2011 and in 2012 Würth formed a hot forging group including Dokka Fasteners and Cardinal.
This year Bill Boak was named president of Cardinal and Bill Walczak and Floyd Carr became regional sales managers.
Boak said Cardinal will be making strategic investments to upgrade manufacturing and quality systems.

Marine Fasteners Inc. opened a new 54,000 sq ft facility in Indiana. The branch is located on 6.6 acres of the 48-acre Beck Industrial Park. The new park was certified by the Indiana Economic Development Corp., which prepares communities for business development.
Marine is expected to add 14 new jobs by 2015.
Marine Fasteners, founded in 1984, opened its first Elkhart branch facility in 1987.
“We were way over our capacity for the last year at the previous building so our efficiencies had diminished in terms of getting product out the door, operations quality manager John Creekmore told the South Bend Tribune. The market for Marine Fastener’s products has been growing by 20% per year, Creekmore added.
