Mark Wilcox is the new North American president of DrillCo Cutting Tools, owner Chad Mouton announced.

Wilcox was with Sandvik subsidiary Precision Twist Drill (Precision Dormer) in various roles for the past 32 years – including North American president.

“Mark’s experience with both the manufacturing and sales sides of the business will be a huge asset to propel DrillCo to the next level,” Mouton said. “Mark will be tasked with growing marketing share, creating and executing our marketing strategy, and taking advantage of new market opportunities that exist.”

EFC International opened an International Sales & Logistics office within the company’s Missouri headquarters to support global sales, Bill Eagan, vice president of global sales, announced.

“The creation of a formal International Sales & Logistics unit was the natural evolution for us as our international sales have significantly grown, and both our key suppliers and customers have a global presence and a need for our support,” Eagan explained.

EFC has a sales team of engineers providing assembly technology, Eagan added.

Founded by Willie Goodman in 1912, Industrial Rivet is now in its fourth generation as a family-held business.  the company manufactures, distributes and imports rivets and fasteners. There are 11 U.S. distribution centers and 65 employees.

Tedeschi is seeking new fastening applications for the product.

The SnapIt screw began with Tedeschi trying to repair her mother’s eyeglasses in 2007.

Five million stainless steel eyeglass repair kits made in China have been sold since 2010. The stainless steel screws fix spring hinges on glasses and the extension then snaps off.

Beyond eyeglasses, Tedeschi said a Portugal company is using the SnapIt design in fixing mill machines. “We are looking at automobile repairs as well,” she said. “Wherever you use a screw that is hard to reach, such as tight spaces.

Tedeschi owned a title insurance company for 20 years before she invented the SnapIt screw. “It has been quite the journey for a girl who didn’t even know how to use a hammer,” she observed.
