EFC International named Ted Loucks as COO. He will oversee general operations outside sales & marketing.

Loucks joined EFC in 2009 and has been IT director and director of technical operations. He has 20 years experience in IT and business management.

CEO Douglas Adams said Loucks “has been instrumental in realizing great strides and accomplishments through information technology and operations for EFC. He is a true leader and we are fortunate to have Ted fill an integral role of the EFC organization.”

Founded in 1983, EFC International is a provider of specialty metal, plastic electrical component parts to the OEM and distribution markets. Former Lake Erie Products Special Fasteners president Greg Kern was named vice president at Accuride Corp. Kern will lead the company’s Imperial Group business unit.

Kern joined commercial vehicle components supplier Accuride in March 2011 as director of operations for Gunite and Machining.

Prior to Lake Erie, Kern served as vice president of GKN Sinter Metals.

Accuride is lead by CEO Richard Dauch, who served as Acument Global Technologies CEO from June 2008 to January 2011.

Dauch said Kern’s appointment is one more step toward putting the right leadership team in place to improve Imperial Group’s financial and operational performance, particularly at the Decatur, TX, plant, which has experienced operational inefficiencies stemming from its expanded production volume and product portfolio.
