Allfast Fastening Systems has added 30 new employees in 2012, with plans for creating more jobs next year, the Pasadena Star-News reports.
“Right now we have 24 trainees for factory jobs,” Allfast president Jim Randall told the Star-News. “These are skilled jobs where they train to be tool-and-die workers or for some other kind of skilled work.”
Randall said he plans to hire 25 to 30 more new workers in 2013.
“The commercial aerospace industry is in its second strong year, and orders from Airbus and Boeing are up,” he said. “More commercial airplanes are being built because of the aging fleets and because they want to have more fuel-efficient aircraft.”

Smith Fastener Co. Inc. bought 9.5 acres of land in the South Charleston Industrial Park.
