SHOW NEWS: Alternate Year Shows Boosting Fastener Fair

More than 100 booths have been reserved for the 2006 Fastener Fair Coventry trade show for the UK and Ireland and a second hall has been reserved for the 2007 show in Germany. The first Fastener Fair Stuttgart drew 198 exhibitors from 27 countries.
Show organizer Jerry Ramsdale credited the “successful introduction in September of Fastener Fair Stuttgart for the international market” as boosting the UK and Ireland event.
Fastener Fair Coventry will be April 5-6, 2006 at the Coventry Arena. It includes fastener and fixing manufacturers, machine suppliers, wholesalers, distributors, importers, exporters, tool suppliers and suppliers of related services and products.
Ramsdale also noted that with the UK and German-based shows now running in alternative years it encourages visitors and exhibitors to participate. Missing the 2006 trade show means waiting until 2008.
Ramsdale expects “continuous development of the visitor database” will bring in more fastener buyers and the trade show “marketing has been extended into new industrial areas and towards new types of professional buyers.”
The next Fastener Fair Stuttgart will be September 19-20, 2007.
Ramsdale has booked a second hall at Stuttgart Messe because “so many companies have already indicated their desire to return with larger stands.” One hall will be devoted to machinery, equipment and tooling. “There has been particular interest from those in the machinery sector, who see the benefit of exhibiting alongside their own customers.” Ramsdale explained.
