SHOW NEWS: Booth Prices Raised for 2004 Las Vegas Show

Show management raised booth prices for the 2004 National Industrial Fasteners Show in Las Vegas.
Booth prices are going up $100 each to $1,595 for regular booths and $1,695 for preferred locations for the November 10-12, 2004, show at the Paris & Ballys hotels. Conferences and an opening reception are slated for Wednesday, November 10, 2004, and the show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.
NIFS management has not offered an explanation for the price hike.
The main Paris ballroom sold out for 2003, but there were vacant booths in the auxiliary Champagne ballroom, and the planned Versailles ballroom never opened.
The price hike comes just after several 2003 exhibitors complained the costs were already too high and asked show management to look for ways to cut costs.
One Las Vegas exhibitor compared the NIFS price with the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors convention. “If STAFDA can do an excellent show for $1,000, why cant they?”
A STAFDA official said prices havent been decided for the associations 28th annual convention, scheduled November 14-16, 2004, in San Francisco, “but they should be the same or close to what they were” for 2003.
