SHOW NEWS: Budapest Show to Open Doors to Eastern Europe?
John Wolz
Fastener Fair Budapest organizer Jerry Ramsdale sees the first time trade show as a catalyst for more fastener manufacturing in Eastern Europe.
The September 22-23, 2008, event at the SYMA Event Centre in Budapest is for end-users, distributors and manufacturers.
“Major producers no longer automatically think of China and the Far East as the places they have to invest in,” Ramsdale said. “In fact, the cost of doing business in Asia is growing very dramatically with raw materials, labor and shipping costs becoming prohibitively expensive. That”s why there is now a new focus on investing in Eastern Europe, or what many western European investors see as the “near east”.”
Exhibitors and participants will be manufacturers, machine suppliers, wholesalers, distributors, importers, exporters and tool suppliers, in addition to trade associations and suppliers of services and related products.
