SHOW NEWS: Exhibitor Survey: 62% at Fastener Fair India Anticipate “Buoyant” Economy
A survey of 2013 Fastener Fair India exhibitors showed 62% expect India’s fastener industry will be “buoyant” over next couple years.
The survey by show management showed total of 41% of exhibitor survey participants saw today’s market as “static” and 47% “buoyant,” while 62% of the exhibitors expect business for India’s fastener and fixing industry to be buoyant over the next couple of years and only 28% see the market as static.
The second Fastener Fair India held in April drew 145 exhibitors from eight countries and 4,028 trade visitors show management announced.
The April 2013 Fastener Fair India was held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The next FFI is being planned for 2015 at the same location.
The majority of 2013 exhibitors were Indian companies. Almost a third of the exhibitors were from outside India, including China, Taiwan, Germany, the UK, Italy, Vietnam and Korea.
Show management’s visitor survey revealed 31% were company owners; 25% managing directors, board members or department heads; 16% engineers and technical specialists; and 13% had purchasing responsibility. Visitors were mainly fastener and fixings manufacturers (36%), users (29%), distributors/supplier to users (19%) and wholesaler/supplier to resellers (16%). Key industry sectors to which the visitors belonged were the automotive industry (16%), mechanical engineering (15%), hardware / DIY retailing (9%), electrical products / domestic appliances (8%) and construction (6%).
Fastener Fair India 2013 was co-located with Blech India, a sheet metal exhibition. Blech India drew 5,686 trade visitors and 187 exhibitors.
