SHOW NEWS: Fastener Fair Adding Show in Turkey
Turkey is the latest country for Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd. to announce a fastener trade show.
Fastener Fair Turkey will be November 21-22, 2013 at the IFM Istanbul Expo Centre, near the Istanbul International Airport.
Mack Brooks describes the new Turkey trade show as “strategically positioned” at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
“Turkey not only has an advanced domestic fastener industry, it also possesses unique growth opportunities as a technology and supply hub for surrounding markets.”
Mack Brooks pointed to Turkey’s “stable economic growth over the last decade, achieving better than 5% average real GDP growth” and noted that the OECD projects Turkey will be the fastest emerging economy among its members.
Turkey is Europe’s largest bus producer and third largest light commercial vehicle manufacturer. Turkey also is developing car production, with 15 domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers. Turkey also manufactures home appliances and televisions.
The country is a furniture production hub for the Middle East, involving some 30,000 companies as well as machinery, marine and petrochemical sectors, and “it is easy to see why Turkey supports an extensive fastener manufacturing and distribution community,” Mack Brooks added.
Since acquiring the European shows of Fastener Fair in 2010, Mack Brooks has added trade shows in Brazil, India, Thailand, Russia, China and Mexico, in addition to its largest show – Fastener Fair Stuttgart in Germany.
