SHOW NEWS: Fastener Fair Russia Moves to Moscow for 2014

Fastener Fair Russia will move to Moscow for the May 14-16, 2014, trade show at VVC All-Russian Exhibition Centre.

The first Fastener Fair Russia in March 2013 drew 109 exhibiting companies from 23 countries and 2,693 visitors, according to show organizer Restec-Brooks.

“We are delighted that the first Fastener Fair held in Russia has been such a big success and look forward to sustainably developing this exhibition into a key platform for Russia’s fastener and fixing industry,” exhibition director Susanne Rauberger said.

Russia is seen as a major global growth market, Rauberger added. Infrastructure projects such as the high-speed railway track from Moscow to St. Petersburg and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games and the 2018 FIFA World Cup create fastener markets.

Rauberger said 58% of the 2013 exhibitors came from outside Russia, including Italy, China, Germany, Taiwan, Spain, Turkey, Poland and India.

A 93% majority of visitors came from Russia. More than a third of visitors were distributors / suppliers to end-users (36%). Wholesalers to resellers totaled 28%, end-users 21% and 12% were fastener manufacturers.
