SHOW NEWS: Fasteners Added to Middle East 2016 SteelFab

A Middle East steel trade show is adding a concurrent fastener section.

The 12th SteelFab scheduled January 17-20, 2016, at the Expo Centre Sharjah in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Fasteners World Middle East will be a concurrent trade fair for the fastener and fixing industry.

The 2016 SteelFab also will add Stainless Steel and Wear Resistant & Hard Facing Cladding sections. SteelFab already includes welding and cutting; machine tools; pipe and tube; steel-tech; and fabricators sections.

The manufacturing sector of the Gulf Cooperation Council – the regional inter governmental political and economic union of six Arab nations of the Persian Gulf –  is projected to grow 4.3% over the next five years.

Expo Centre CEO Saif Mohammed Al Midfa told TradeArabia News Service that “low oil prices notwithstanding, GCC countries are spending a record amount on infrastructure and capital projects planned and under way in 2015. The core sectors, which are direct beneficiaries of this diversification push, are expanding fast with new projects, expansions and investments.”

Government diversification programs now have non-oil sectors reaching 69% of the UAE’s gross domestic product. GCC countries are spending an estimated record $172 billion on infrastructure and capital projects in 2015.

There are $18 billion in investments in pipelines planned during the coming five years – including adding 21,000 km to the pipeline network.

Fastener World ME is geared toward raw material suppliers, manufacturers of fastener production machinery and equipment and fastener manufacturers.

SteelFab predicts fastener demand in the developing areas of Asia/Pacific and Africa/Mideast regions, Central and South America and Eastern Europe will outpace the growth in the U.S., Western Europe and Japan.

SteelFab anticipates visitors from the Middle East, Central Asia and Indian Sub-Continent.

Show organizers see construction, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, steel fabrication, oil l& gas, woodworking and infrastructure as the prime markets for Fastener World.

SteelFab will have about 300 exhibiting companies – including 175 international – and more than 9,000 exhibitors. Web: steelfabme.com/fasteners.html
