SHOW NEWS: FIN Subscribers Save Money on NIFS/West

The National Industrial Fastener Show/West reported 1,304 advance registrations for the November 16-18, 2009, trade show at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Registration includes 394 distributors, 87 manufacturers, 50 manufacturers reps, 49 importers and 40 independent sales reps.

Just after the “early bird” advance discount ended August 30, show management announced registration reached 1,030 persons. FIN subscribers responding to an article reminding them of the advance discount deadline for registration and conferences saved 25% on registration and up to $100 on conferences.

Prices are coming down at even luxury hotels during the NIFS/West.

In the past month Four Seasons’ price on Hotels.com dropped to $186. NewYork NewYork went down from $76 in August to $67.

Other hotels within a mile of Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which dropped prices on Hotels.com since the August 4 FIN article:  Hampton Inn/Tropicana $61; Tropicana $40; Wild Wild West $28; Desert Rose Resort $67; Fairfield Inn $80; Residence Inn $95; Marriott Courtyard $95.

Earlier this year the host Mandalay Bay Hotel dropped its official NIFS rate from the originally announced $229 to $149 per night during NIFS/West,

The Luxor – located within the Mandalay Bay complex - was listed at $85 on Hotels.com, and Mandalay’s upscale TheHotel was priced at $193.

Last year Luxor dropped to $65 following the NIFS price deadline, which this year is October 8.
