IFFI Announces Two-Track Conferences
The first Industrial Fastener & Forming International conference will offer both a management track and a technical operations track for attendees.
Sessions are scheduled each morning of the June 5-7, 2001, convention at the Cleveland (OH) Convention Center.
�The IFFI 2001 conference program consists of sessions that will provide exceptional value to fastener manufacturing CEOs,� said Jim Wittersheim, chair of the IFFI governing committee. �They will want their people to attend the information-packed technical sessions and then explore the show floor to see the technology in action.�
IFFI was developed by the Industrial Fasteners Institute and the International Fastener Machinery Association. Fastener Technology International magazine is a conference sponsor.

Columbus Announces Advice, Web Panels
The conference program at the 2001 National Industrial Fastener Show includes panels to answer technical questions and web site design.
The �Ask the Experts� panel will discuss working with a fastener consultant and answer fastening questions. Tom Doppke of Technical Presentations Company will be the moderator of a panel including Richard Barrett of Barrett Engineering Consulting, Lon DeHaitre of DeHaitre & Associates, Jim Speck of Spec Engineering and Joe Greenslade of Greenslade & Company.
The �Web Site Designs & Dilemmas� panel of distributors and manufacturers will discuss what has and hasn�t worked for them, and web site design experts will offer advice.
The half-day �Fastener Fundamentals� workshop by Jim Speck will cover how fasteners work, materials, testing, manufacturing and design.
The conference programs will be on Monday, May 21. The show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Wire Week Adds Rotating Technology Panel
A rotating panel of volunteer experts will answer attendees� technical questions at Interwire Wire & Cable Manufacturing Week 2001.
There are more than 100 conference sessions during the week.
The biennial show will be May 13-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The show is sponsored by Wire Association International. This year IWCMW includes the Interwire Trade Exposition, Wire & Cable Technical Symposium, Wire & Cable College and WAI�s 71st annual convention.
The technology center on the show floor will be staffed with WAI�s volunteer committees and technical departments of exhibiting companies.
�Nobody will be walking away without getting either an answer to their question or a referral to someone who can answer it,� WAI technical information director Phyllis Conon said.
