SHOW NEWS: Interwire Features Global Issues, More Than 50 Technical Sessions

The global steel industry, increasing profits in the Pacific Rim and world influences on the U.S. economy are among the topics at Interwire 2005 and the Wire Association International”s 75th annual convention.
WAI reports there will be more than 500 exhibitors at the Interwire trade show May 14-19, 2005 in Atlanta.
Melay Mukherjee, COO of Mittal Steel Company, will speak on the global steel industry. Mukerjee has 31 years experience in the steel industry, including serving as president and COO of Ispat International, NV.
Author Mia Doucet, co-founder and managing director of the Sales Development Institute, will speak on “triple threat” factors affecting profits in China; Robert Eisenbeis, executive vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, will speak on the U.S. economy and world influences; and Ed Danciger will give the annual Mordica lecture.
There will be more than 50 technical sessions, including fundamentals of wire manufacturing, ferrous products, nonferrous processing, cold heading, powder coating, wiredrawing, wire mill, electrical applications and rod/wire cleaning & coating. Also scheduled is a Ford Motor plant tour.
