The 2005 International Fastener Technology Exhibition for China or Fastener China 2005 is scheduled for June 7-10, 2005, at the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre.
Sponsored by the China Machinery Industry Federation, and with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Machinery Sub-Council and Business & Industrial Trade Fairs Ltd. as the co-organizers, the biennial combination of events is expected to draw 90,000 visitors.

Show promoters report increased interest from Taiwan and Korea, led by the Korea Metal Industry Cooperative and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry.
“China has experienced a continuous, steady and speedy development in its economy, which has led to a boom in various industries, including the fastener industry,” according to the show promoters. “While the industry will maintain a constant growth of 10% to 15% in its domestic and overseas sales, China”s demand for fasteners in 2005 is expected to reach RMB11.5 billion (U.S. $1.39 billion).
Fastener China 2005 is part of the 2005 China International Machine Components Industry Exhibition (Machine Components 2005). Exhibits include fasteners, gears, chain transmission, springs, powder metallurgy, and the related processing equipment, materials and instruments.
