The number of exhibiting companies has matched the last Industrial Fastener & Forming International and “we are getting exhibitors signing up each day,” Ray Zirkle of IFFI reported. “And the exhibitors that we have already signed up are requesting more free passes to send to their customers and prospects.”
IFFI, held every other year, is the manufacturing-oriented trade show portion of Fastener Week 2005. The June 6-9, 2005, events also include the distribution-oriented Mid-West Fastener Show and 19 events from industry-wide speakers, association meetings, social and golf events and 45 hours of educational and management sessions. Fastener Week is based at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
Show manager John Slater reported more than 200 exhibiting companies totaling 30,000 sq ft.
Panelists at FastenerNews.com’s “How to Buy Fasteners” Tuesday morning workshop for distribution purchasing staff have more than 30 years combined experience buying fasteners for distributorships. Panelists also have experience selling domestic and imported fasteners to distributors and Internet experience.
Fastener Technology International, the Los Angeles Fastener Association and IFFI also are sponsoring education programs.
