SHOW NEWS: More Exhibitors Book for 2015 – NIFMSE’s 35th Year

Exhibitor numbers are up for the 2015 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, general manager Susan Hurley announced.

The trade show will be October 21-23, 2015, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Hurley said 777 exhibit booths have been booked by 584 companies. Exhibitors come from throughout the U.S. and 14 other countries: Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey.

The NIFSME booth record of 822 was set last year, edging the previous high of 821 in 2007.

“We are ahead of our last year’s same date exhibit space sales figures, plus we have gained 65 new companies and continue receiving new exhibit space applications regularly,” Hurley said. “We are delighted with the continuing growth of the Machinery & Tooling World area as well as the addition of more mill supply companies offering products of interest to today’s multi-line distributors.”

The 2015 trade show marks the 35th anniversary of the first show held in June 1981 in Columbus, OH.

There will be conferences on Wednesday: Fastener Technology Workshop, presented by the Fastener Training Institute; CFO, Controllers, Credit & Accounts Receivable Managers. National Fastener Industry Financial Manager Network and Business Credit Management Association; “Are You Making the Most of Specials?”, Pacific-West Fastener Association; and “Cognitive Diversity & Creative Problem Solving,” Women in the Fastener Industry.

There will be a one-hour opening reception Wednesday evening at Treasure Island.

On Thursday the Manufacturers’ Agents National Association will conduct a session on “The Biggest Sales You’ll Ever Make: Your Representative Firm; and “It’s Not Rocket Surgery: Successful Sales Force Outsourcing with Independent Manufacturers’ Reps.
The International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association will hold a reception at 11 a.m. Friday.

NIFMSE Discount Deadlines

Early bird attendee registration is $45 until August 28; $55 until October 14; and starting October 15 through the trade show is $65.

The trade show will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
