SHOW NEWS: Packaging Show Supports Education

The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute announced it provided $128,800 in packaging education programs during 2002.
PMMI spent $30,000 to bring 150 packaging students to its Pack Expo International trade show, $32,000 in scholarships to five packaging technical schools, $31,000 in scholarships to 78 PMMI employees from 46 member companies and a total of $10,000 in company sponsorship of local education efforts. PMMI also managed the Packaging Education Forum�s programs with no fee.
The education funds come from PMMI revenue. The organization�s trade show provides 80% of revenue. Other revenue comes from book sales and membership dues. �2003 FastenerNews.com\
