SHOW NEWS: Wire Groups Combine Events in Milwaukee
The Wire Association International, American Wire Producers Association and the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo are co-locating in Milwaukee May 12-13, 2010.
“To have the events side-by-side in 2010 enhances the value for attendees as well as exhibitors, which is critical in today’s difficult economic times,” WAI president Antonio Ayala explained.
• For WAI’s 80th annual convention, Wire Expo trade show and related technical programs have been narrowed from three to two days to cut time and cost.
WAI’s fundamentals course will be on Tuesday and all other events will be Wednesday & Thursday.

• AWPA will conduct the Long Products Supply Chain Symposium May 10-11.
Speaker topics include: “The Manufacturing Economy in the U.S. & the World,” “U.S. Economic & Manufacturing Policy” and “Supply Chain Outlook.”
AWPA executive director Kimberly Korbel said the symposium “will bring together key decision makers fro all strata of the supply chain. Business cycles are typically on the upswing in the spring, so it is an important time for entrepreneurs to gather information about the economic recovery.” Web: awpa.org
