Southern Fasteners Named to “Companies to Watch” List

Southern Fasteners and Supply Inc. was named one of 25 North Carolina Companies to Watch.

The award, given by CED, the Southeast’s largest entrepreneurial support organization, recognizes growth oriented, second-stage companies headquartered in North Carolina that demonstrate high performance in their market, exhibit innovative products and display other unique qualities.

The 25 recipients collectively added jobs at an annual rate of 35% between 2008 and 2011, totaling 936 new jobs, and grew revenue by an annual rate of 41% during the same period, totaling $191 million in revenue.

The recipients will be recognized at an awards dinner on June 7, 2012, at the Raleigh Marriott City Center in Raleigh, NC.

Winston-Salem-based Southern Fasteners is a minority owned company founded in 1982. The company operates facilities in Winston-Salem;  Richmond, VA; Parkersburg, WV; Montgomery, AL; D’Iberville, MS; Greenville, SC; Anaheim, CA; Orlando, FL; Houston, TX; and New Johnsonville, TN.
