Specialty Screw Corp. Wins Manufacturing Award
Specialty Screw Corp. received the Manufacturer of the Year Award from the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, the Rockford Register Star reports.
Founded in 1953, the company has nearly sixty years of experience in the cold formed fastener industry and employs about 65 workers to manufacture products for the fastening and engineered component markets.
Under the leadership of Russell Johansson, Specialty Screw has focused on efficiency to remain competitive. Those efforts reportedly include a solar photovoltaic system — using locally made solar panels — to generate up to 1.8 kilowatts of energy.
