The Spirol International Corporation in Danielson, CT, received ISO 14001:2004 recertification.
By implementing and adhering to conservation policies in the past year, Spirol International reduced electricity usage 27.56%, processed 24.09% less water, and decreased lubricant use 28.01%.

Sp irol continually re-evaluates manufacturing and administrative processes to improve the environment.  Programs include recycling paper, batteries, light bulbs, raw materials and manufacturing fluids and energy saving apparatuses such as automatic light switches and auto-flush units in the commodes.

ISO 14001 is a standard for environmental management systems implemented in any business to reduce the environmental footprint of a business and to decrease the pollution and waste a business produces.
