Fourth quarter sales rose 9.1% and for the full year of 2012 sales were up 11.6%, according to distributors participating in the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association Q4 ’12 Trend Report.
For 2012 the Southeast topped the national increase with a 26.3% gain in sales, followed by the Pacific at 25.6%.
The South Central, Midwest, Northwest and Northeast averaged double-digit increases in sales.
The lowest sales gains for 2012 were in the Rocky Mountain region at 1.6% and Mid-Atlantic 2.1%.
