Stanley Black & Decker named Joe Simms as Chief Diversity Officer. He will report to CEO Jim Loree.

Simms was human resources VP for the company’s $10B Global Tools & Storage business. He currently serves as co-chair of the company’s African Ancestry Network and contributed to the company’s 10 Commitments to Racial Equity and Social Justice.

Simms began his career at Stanley Black & Decker in 2013 as human resources VP for U.S. Sales & Marketing.

He received a BS degree in psychology from Morgan State University in Baltimore and a Master’s in Labor & Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Web: StanleyBlackandDecker.com
