Steel Prices in Taiwan Lowered for December
Taiwan’s China Steel Corp. cut its December list prices by 3.31%, Yieh Corp. reports.
CSC cut steel plates prices by NT$80/ton; steel wire and bar prices by NT$1,300/ton; hot rolled steel by NT$800/ton; and hot dipped galvanized steel by NT$186/ton.
Prices for cold rolled steel, electrical galvanized steel and electrical steel remain unchanged for December, according to Yieh Corp.
CSC said it cut prices due to the difficulty that downstream buyers faced in foreign markets, and expressed hope that reduced prices could help downstream buyers gain orders.
In August CSC cut prices for its steel products by an average of NT$1,142/ton for October and November on slackening demand and general global uncertainty. ©2012 GlobalFastenerNews.com
