The 2019 Fastener Fair Stuttgart will have more exhibition space than its 2017 biennial trade show.

Exhibition space is 97% sold out, show organizers Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd. announced. With an expansion in exhibition space there is a potential of 22,000 sq. meters (236,806 sq ft). That is equivalent to 2,368 U.S. 10 x 10 booths – known as “stands” in Europe.

The 8th International Exhibition for the Fastener & Fixing Industry will be March 19-21, 2019, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds. The trade show is open 9am to 6pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 9am – 3pm Thursday.

Mack Brooks projects there will be 900 exhibiting companies from 40 countries.

Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, and France are the major European exhibitor countries. Turkey, China, India, and Taiwan are also major exhibiting countries.

“The fastener and fixing industry is expecting a positive economic development in the upcoming years. Based on evolving global industry sectors like e-mobility, the aerospace and construction industries, a growing demand for fasteners and fixings is currently anticipated,” exhibition director Liljana Goszdziewski said.

“The market has developed dynamically over the last couple of years, with new technologies and fields of application as well as the use of various new materials. In addition, hybrid fasteners have been well established in the industry. Therefore, fasteners and fixings are more frequently applied as flexible and highly functional solutions which are used in lightweight engineering as well as various other areas.”

Products include industrial fasteners, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems and fastener manufacturing technology. Attendees include distributors, suppliers, engineers and other industry professionals.

For the first time, there will be a bonding and adhesive technologies area, in recognition of increasing use in modern manufacturing and lightweight construction plus automotive and electronics industries.

Admission is EUR 32 (US$36) online and EUR 45 (US$51) onsite.
