Sundram Finds Success in Wind Energy Fasteners

India-based Sundram Fasteners Ltd. (SFL) reported revenue rose 9.6% to Rs. 2,641.38 crore in the fiscal year ended in March, driven by strong demand for SFL’s hot forged parts, power train components and wind energy fasteners. Net profit increased 56% to Rs. 211.17 crore.

Earnings before interest and depreciation gained 17.5% to Rs. 419.51 crore. “The efficient working capital management has resulted in reduction in borrowings and enabled the company contain its interest costs,” the company stated. 

Export sales edged up 1% to Rs. 908.12 crore (Rs. 898.71 crore), while domestic sales increased 15.6% to Rs.1,649.37 crore.
