Switzerland-based SFS Group acquired Triangle Fastener Corporation of Pennsylvania.

Led by existing management, TFC will operate as a part of the Construction division within the Fastening Systems segment.

TFC was founded in 1977 and specializes in fasteners, tools, sealants and accessories for the commercial construction market. Pittsburgh-based TFC has 23 locations in 15 states, and produced 2018 sales of US$70 million with 200 employees. Web: TriangleFastener.com

SFS dates its history to the 1928 founding of the Stadler hardware store in Altsatter, Switzerland. Development of its international business began in 1960 with Presswerk Heerbrugg. SFS’ first international acquisition was 1971 of FritzHaas GmbH of Germany and SFS began international production with the 1976 acquisition of Visserie Technique of France.

In 2001 SFA moved into North American with the acquisition of Construction Fasteners of the U.S. and Canada, and in 2008 acquired blind rivet manufacturer Gesipa GmbH of Germany, the UK and U.S.
