Taiwan’s fastener exports recorded four consecutive months of growth, reaching 123,500 tons in August, a 20.6% increase from 102,400 tons in April, and up 0.8% from July, but down 3.6% from last August, Fastener World reports.

Taiwan exported more than 933,000 tons in the first 8 months of 2020, down 12% from reductions in volume and price, according to Fastener World.

The average export price gained 0.6% to US$2.88 per kilogram.

The industry expects Taiwan’s fastener export(s) should gradually turn around as does the American and European manufacturing with international steel prices going higher,” Fastener World reports.  “Even if the decline in export to the world will continue, the margin of decline is expected to reduce.”
