Taiwan Fastener Exports See Steady Growth

Fastener exports from Taiwan grew 3.9% in volume to 530,000 tons in the first four months of 2015, with the export value up 2.6% to US$ 1.3 billion, ChinaFastener.Info reports.

“In April, Taiwan’s fastener exports to Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Italy, Poland, Sweden, France and Japan all saw decrease both in volume and value due to currency devaluation,” according to ChinaFastener.Info.

However, Taiwan fastener exports to the U.S., Canada, Russia, Belgium, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam rose in April, especially to Saudi Arabia, where imports jumped 109.5%.
