Taiwan Screw Exports To U.S. Rise For 4th Straight Year
Taiwan exported about 550,000 tons of screws to the U.S. in the first eleven months of 2013, up 1.76% from a year ago, Yieh Corp Steel Market News reports.
Taiwan is expected to export 40,000 tons to the U.S. in December, pushing its yearly total close to 600,000 tons.
In 2004 the export volume of screws from Taiwan to the U.S. reached 700,000 tons, according to Yieh Corp. The volume plummeted below 400,000 tons in 2009 due to global financial crisis.
“Market analysts indicate the performance in 2013 will keep strong for four years in (a) row although the growth rate is the fewest since (the) financial crisis,” writes Claude Tseng of Yieh Corp. ©2014 GlobalFastenerNews.com
