Tanner Fasteners Acquires City Sprint Safety & Supply

Brooklyn, NY-based Tanner Fasteners & Industrial Supplies acquired City Sprint Safety & Supply of Long Island City. City Sprint Safety distributes industrial fastener and safety products, with express delivery to job sites in NYC, New Jersey, Long Island and Westchester.

Tanner remodeled the space formally occupied by City Sprint at 48-18 Van Dam Street in Long Island City and opened a new showroom/warehouse.

“City Sprint’s strong footprint in the New York metropolitan construction market combined with their ability to deliver products quickly fits in well with Tanner’s commitment to adding value for our existing customer base,” said Tanner Fasteners president Jeff Tannenbaum.

The new Tanner location is stocked with industrial fasteners and anchors, including security fasteners and tamper proof screws, as well as the cutting tools and abrasives.

Gerald Tannenbaum founded the company as Tanner Bolt & Nut Corp. in 1979. Tanner Fasteners occupies 25,000 sq ft of office and warehouse space in the heart of Brooklyn, from which it supplies contractors, manufacturers and government agencies with fastening, cutting and anchoring products.
