Technology Theme For WAFD Fall Meeting

Improving your business with technology will be the key topic at the Western Association of Fastener Distributors fall conference September 13-17, 2000, at the Fifth Avenue Suites Hotel in downtown Portland, OR.\
Steve Epner will speak on Friday on improving business with technology, using the Internet as an electronic catalog and as an extension of the sales force. Epner also will talk about improving customer service while reducing operating costs. On Saturday Epner will give five steps to a strong web presence.
Barnhill Bolt was among the first fastener companies to do business on the Internet, and webmaster Ross Barnhill will discuss his experience. Bill Muehlbauer of Faspac will demonstrate existing technology options for the �Warehouse of 2000.�
The program also includes industry analyst Lee Cameron speaking on fastener stocks, the business executives� forum and a tour of the 55,000 sq ft Portland Bolt & Mfg. plant.
