Termax Corp. Plans Annexation and Expansion

Termax Corp., plans to expand its fastener manufacturing facility at 1155 Rose Road in Lake Zurich, IL.

The automotive components company won local government approval to annex a 5.0285-acre parcel adjacent to its current facility, the Lake Zurick-Courier reports.

“Our desire is to grow here,” stated co-owner Bill Smith. “This helps the whole community. We really want to be good corporate citizens and grow here.”

Plans call for the company to add an additional 37,353 sq ft to its building and create 50 jobs, according to the Courier.

Co-owner Mike Smith said he never thought the company would outgrow its current building, but now they may need to expand again in the future.

“I’ve been a resident here for 27 years… It’s great my brother and I are part of this whole village,” he said. “We moved our company up here about eight years ago, basically because I love this place… It is good to feel like you’re home and be a part of a village like this.”  ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
