Termax Corp. Proposes Expansion

Termax Corp. plans to add an 80,000 sq ft warehouse to its facility at 200 Telser Road in Lake Zurich, IL, expanding its office and warehouse operation from 20,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft, the Daily Herald reports.

“The automobile industry is booming,” stated Termax CFO John Hoeksema.

Termax reportedly intends to build on six acres adjacent to its current site. A farmhouse and three buildings would be demolished to accommodate Termax’s new structure, according to the Herald.

“Termax’s finished products would be stored in the new warehouse and shipped from a six-bay dock area on the south end of the structure,” writes Bob Susnjara of the Herald.

In 2004, Termax used a $4 million state incentive to relocate operations in Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows and Mundelein to Lake Zurich, bringing 120 jobs to the city.

Termax started with a 78,000 sq ft facility on Rose Road, followed in 2011 by a 38,000 sq ft addition.

Founded in 1971 by Edward Smith, Termax is a manufacturing and engineering company specializing in metal and plastic fasteners for automotive applications. Other industries include appliances, lighting, toys, construction, and automotive aftermarket providers. Web: termax.com
