Textron Fastening Moves to Suburban Detroit; Schiano New CFO

Textron Fastening Systems opened a new world headquarters in Troy, MI.
CEO Jack Sights said the move to suburban Detroit is �allows us to remain close to our customers while assuring that we are leveraging our global strengths and capabilities to deliver world-class technology, quality and service.�
The headquarters had been in Elgin, IL.
Textron Fastening has more than 150 sales, manufacturing and engineering facilities in 19 countries.
There will be about 60 employees at the new headquarters at the Troy Corporate Center.
Sights also announced that Dominick Schiano is the new fastening executive vice president and CFO. Schiano had been CFO for Textron Automotive and earlier was with TRW�s vehicle safety systems group.
In addition to financial and accounting duties, Schiano will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions, information technology and corporate development.
Textron Fastening has four global groups: Automotive, commercial, advanced and supply chain.
Textron Fastening brands include Avdel, Camcar, Elco, Cherry and Ring Screw. InteSys is the core of the advanced solutions group and provides assemblies for telecommunications, computer/business machine, medical and automotive markets. The supply chain solutions group is led by Flexalloy.
The fastener segment of Providence, RI-based Textron Inc. has 16,000 employees and $2.2 billion in annual revenue. The parent company is an $11.6 billion multi-industry company with businesses in aircraft, automotive, industrial and finance.
