Threaded Fasteners Inc. (TFI) acquired Meridian, MI-based Construction Fasteners for an undisclosed sum.

The deal “joins Construction Fasteners’ sales and distribution team with TFI to better serve the Mississippi market,” which has grown exponentially in the past 15 years, according to TFI president Billy Duren.

“This acquisition joins two teams that are dedicated to help better serve Mississippi and neighboring states as construction and infrastructure investments continue to increase,” stated Duren.  “As an employee-owned company, we place a high value on how a company’s culture fits in with ours before we move forward with an acquisition.”

Founded in 2009, Construction Fasteners is located at 229 Hwy 19 N, Meridian, MI 39307-6646.  Tel: 601-482-2658

The acquisition marks the opening of TFI’s eleventh location.  Duren said being employee-owned means “this is not only a new branch with new employees, but they are going to be new owners of the company.”

Construction Fasteners founder Craig Melancon added: “There may be a new name on our building, but the old faces will still be here!”

Founded in 1979 by brothers-in-law Frank Martin and Steve Sholtis, TFI is an employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of steel fasteners, with more than 140 employees.  TFI operates 181,000 sq ft of warehouse space with over 42 million individual parts spread across 11 locations in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee.  Web: ThreadedFasteners.com
