Thomas, Luca, McGrath & Goldberg on Anti-Dumping Panel in Las Vegas

Show management announced four panelists for the “Antidumping and Countervailing Duties and How This Could Affect You” session during the 13th annual National Industrial Fastener Show/West.

Moderators are Larry Thomas and Rob Lucas of Fidelis Fasteners Limited with offices and facilities in Hong Kong, Shunde, China and Mumbai and Ahmedabad, India. Thomas and Lucas are currently in China and have been to Taiwan meeting with fastener officials.

Matthew McGrath, a Washington D.C. attorney representing U.S. fastener importers, and attorney James Goldberg, who attended the October 14 hearing at the U.S. International Trade Commission representing NIFS. McGrath represented the American Fastener Importers during the U.S. Fastener Quality Act process of the 1990s.

Other panelists may be added.

The panel discussion will be at 4 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The session is free and open to badge holders. Seating will be on a first come-first served basis.

The trade show will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Show management reported registration for the show is nearing 3,000, with 711 or 57% being distributors. Other categories include 180 manufacturers, 94 importers, 67 manufacturer reps and 60 independent sales reps.

The final registration for the 2008 NIFS/West was 4,913, including 1,373 distributors.

Show manager Susan Hurley said the trade show has “nearly 500 companies and 620 booths.”

Last year there were 633 exhibiting companies totaling 819 booths.
