Threaded Fasteners Inc. (TFI) acquired Bolt & Nut Inc., a Florida-based manufacturer and distributor of fasteners that was founded in 1977 in Tampa.
TFI is joining forces with the Bolt & Nut to create an even more dynamic platform to serve commercial and industrial clients in Florida and the Southeastern U.S., said TFI president Billy Duren.
TFI will merge its Tampa operation with the 21-member Bolt & Nut Inc. staff to do business at the Bolt & Nut location on 46th Street. The facility offers more than 45,000 sq of manufacturing space and 5,000 sq ft of offices. Web: TFIManufacturing.com
“It’s a natural for Threaded Fasteners” to buy Bolt & Nut Inc.,” Bolt & Nut founder Bob Cornett. “They know the business and what we do. We’ve done business with them for years.”
With nearly 53 years in the manufacturing business, Cornett believes now is a great time to invest in Florida, given the long-term construction projects underway in Tampa.
“I see tremendous potential in this area,” Cornett said of southwest Florida. “I think there’s going to be a boom for at least the next five to eight years.”
Founded in 1979 by brothers-in-law Frank Martin and Steve Sholtis, TFI is an employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of steel fasteners, with more than 140 employees. TFI operates 181,000 sq ft of warehouse space with over 42 million individual parts spread across nine locations in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Web: ThreadedFasteners.com
