TriMas Sees Rising Demand for Aerospace Fasteners

TriMas Corp. reported sales at it Industrial Specialties segment, including fasteners, grew 16.7% to $204.6 million in 2007, while operating profit rose 15% to $41.8 million. TriMas noted improved demand for its aerospace fasteners.
Industrial segment sales during the fourth quarter of 2007 increased 12.7% to $50.16 million, with operating profit slipping 7% to $9.4 million.
Overall sales in 2007 increased 5.4% to a record $1.07 billion, while asset impairment charges forced the company to report a loss of $159.3 million.
