Two Fastener Workers Die on Job

An automotive fastener worker in Greenfield, IN, was crushed to death on August 27 after becoming wedged inside a bolt-plating machine, the Associated Press reports.
47-year-old Suzanne Wyatt, a five year employee of Indiana Automotive Fasteners Inc., reportedly died after reaching into the zinc coater to retrieve a piece of paper.
Wyatt is reportedly the second U.S. fastener worker to be killed on the job in the last two weeks.
TCR Engineered Components employee Randall Puppe, 56, was killed on August 14 while cleaning a chip spinning machine at the company”s facility in Brooklyn Center, MN. Puppe had worked at TCR for 14 years. \ �2007 FastenerNews.com
