Two Speakers Added to Southwestern Expo Program

Energy and aerospace metals and industrial maintenance are topics added to the Southwestern Fastener Association’s spring conference schedule.

Tom Turnipseede and Neil Rogers of Castle Metals will speak on “Raw Materials / Exotic Metals in Oil & Gas and Aerospace Markets”; and Troy Elmore of Sandler Sales Institute will speak on “Industrial Maintenance Sales.”

The spring conference will be March 27-29, 2008, at the Marriott Westchase in Houston. SFA’s biennial Southwestern Fastener Expo will be on Saturday, March 29.

Previously announced programs include: Bruce Darling, Porteous Fastener Company, speaking on ” Understanding Current Market Conditions”; Joe Greenslade, director of engineering for the Industrial Fastener Institute, and Jay Hebert of Porteous, will speak on “Proper Designation and Use of Standards by End Users and Suppliers is Critical to Fastener Quality”; mechanical engineer Robert Schneider teaching “Print Reading 101”; and John Hodges, Drillco Cutting Tools, “Knowing the Right Drill Bit for the Job.”

Executive director John Elsner said he expects more than 90 exhibiting companies at the Expo. Advance distributor registration is running ahead of the last two shows, Elsner said.
