U.S. Fastener Imports Fall Faster Than Exports

Fastener imports to the U.S. fell 5% to $392.4 million in June compared with the previous month, while U.S. fastener exports dropped 1% to $289.5 million for the month, Zepol reports.
The top five import countries to the U.S. in June were Taiwan ($115.27 million), China ($95.4 million), Japan ($63.28 million), Canada ($23.76 million), and Germany ($20.98 million).

For June the top five export destinations for U.S. fasteners were Canada ($94.39 million), Mexico ($86.56 million), the UK ($13.6 million), China ($8.9 million), and France (7.63 million). ©2012 GlobalFastenerNews.com
