Unferth to Teach Metrics Session

Bill Unferth will speak on “Metrics in Layman’s Terms” at a seminar sponsored by rep agency Lee S. Johnson Associates Inc.

Unferth, who has been in the fastener industry for 51 years, will speak September 6, 2012, at Valley Forge Casino in Valley Forge, PA.

Unferth started in the industry in 1961 with Cleveland Cap Screw, a division of Standard Pressed Steel. Subsequently Unferth has worked with Metric American Fasteners, Universal Fastener Company, Holo-Krome and Bossard Metrics. He currently is special project manager for Lindstrom Fastener Group.

One person per company of Johnson customers is free. Additional participants are $100.

 

“This seminar will cover all aspects of metric fasteners and should be a must for anyone selling or buying metric fasteners,” Johnson said.

Johnson Associates “will continue to provide these free seminars to our customers on topics that are relative to the industry,” he added. “As our tag line says, we will continue to ‘partner for growth’ with both our customers and our principals.”

The rep agency was founded in 1984 by Lee S. Johnson Sr., a former vice president of Coatesville Plate Washer Co. Coatsville was a Johnson family business started in 1922.

Lee Johnson Jr. began with the rep agency in 1991 and succeeded his father as president in 1998.

Johnson Jr. is the founder of the Mid-Atlantic Fastener Distributors Association.
