Western Wire Products added two new CNC wireformers. The small diameter one is the Herdon CSX20- Hydrid offering 16 axes of motion handling wire diameters 0.016 to 0.093 inch. The large wireformer is the Numalliance 216 Robomac for wire diameters 0.312 to 0.625 inch.

Western Wire now has 18 CNCs. Sales manager Tim Parker noted that the machines were needed to help shorten lead-times, which had lengthened during the summer of 2012.

Western Wire is headed by third-generation family member Gene Young, who started working with the company in 1975.

Western Wire dates back to 1907 with the invention of a machine that made woven wire fabric. The Great Western Wire Fence & Manufacturing Co. was incorporated and has been manufacturing wire products since 1914.

In 1998 it moved into a new 132,000 sq ft factory at 770 Sun Park Dr., Fenton, MO 63026. Tel: 636 305-1100 or 800 325-3770 Fax 636 305-1119 E-mail: sales@westernwireprod.com Web: westernwireprod.com ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
