Würth’s operating result was between EUR 860 million and EUR 880 million, “a new record and a significant increase” over the previous year.
“We are very happy about this positive result,” stated Robert Friedmann, spokesman for the Würth Group’s Executive Board. “It proves that, with our strategies and services, we are still an important partner for our customers in trade and industry, ”
The group’s e-business turnover in 2018 was EUR 2.4 billion and grew disproportionately to the group turnover.

For 2019, Würth expects mid-single-digit growth in sales and a proportionately higher operating result.
“The year 2019 will certainly challenge us more than in 2018 due to the economic slowdown,” Friedmann noted.
