YFP Seeks Volunteers for Mentor Program

The Young Fastener Professionals is seeking mentors and mentees for its “AIM” program – Advancing Individuals through Mentoring.

YFP is initially looking for three mentees to pair with three mentors in the pilot program. 

It is a joint program with the National Fastener Distributors Association.

The YFP describes the mentor program goal as proving “support and educational opportunities to young professionals while developing a more diverse leadership pool for the fastener industry.”

YFP has scheduled three presentations on “How to Attract & Retain Millennials in the Fastener Industry” based on its 2015 survey.

The presentation covers important job attributes, promoting from within, areas of improvement, generating ideas, recognition and on boarding procedures.

The scheduled presentations are: North Coast Fastener Association, February 11, 2016, Strongsville, OH; Pac-West / NFDA Joint Conference, March 3, 2016, San Diego; and Midwest Fastener Association, May 5, 2016, Rockford, IL.
